“Good, almost excellent apart from post paperwork issues – After MUCH research (quotes from 13 providers, 4 of whom did visit the house) we purchased a 5kW system from Go Run Solar (Fronius inverter and 6.34kW of ET panels). It wasn’t the cheapest quote, yet we went this direction after reading DOZENS of reviews that steered us away from cheaper alternatives, and helped us assess that more expensive (and more/’better’ service) wasn’t necessarily better value for money. But we definitely feel we got good value for money with this system.
We were told by others that the application with Ergon (we live in Toowoomba) could take weeks and it was approved in 2 days, which brought forward the installation. The Installer and offsider were great and happy to be flexible to make it work well. We planned for 12 panels to face West and 12 to face East, but the split roof on the East meant we ended up doing 11 and 13. But that was all good. After installation, we do see power output numbers as high as 5.3kW on sunny days with intermittent cloud. I am not sure why, but on a totally cloudless day, the output only gets to 4.5kW figures, but when clouded it drops when in shade, then returns to the 5 kW in the sunshine between clouds.
Hence slight disappointment with what is otherwise a GREAT product and great and quick installation service that we are very happy with! Yes would recommend any serious enquirer to check this company out!
